Digital Skills for Defence (DS4D)

The Digital Skills for Defence programme is forging a path to create the right culture and environment to enable all of us, regulars, reservists and civilians, to advance our digital skills.

    What is it for?

DS4D is enabling our workforce to advance their digital skills and apply relevant learning in the context of available technologies and evolving roles.

This will ultimately position us as the most advanced digital defence force in the world.

The Programme has launched My Digital Skills. This platform is full of practical digital learning materials that you can download and explore at your own pace.

You can achieve your goals five minutes at a time, any place, anywhere and you can even download resources and learn offline.

    What do I get?

    • Digital skills training worth over £200 per person in Defence

    • A wide range of courses, audiobooks, seminars, and assessments where you can gauge your current skill level and select content that is right for you at your desk or on the move.

    • Defence tailored content, specifically curated by our Subject Matter Experts, in the Library Section, ready to guide your learning.

    So far:

11,000+ people have already been given the opportunity to complete basic digital skills assessments.

22,000+ people have accessed the soft skills enterprise which allows them cutting edge digital skills education.

    How do I access it?

    • You can log on directly at My Digital Skills or access the site from the Defence Gateway applications. From either access point, you will be asked to enter your Defence Gateway credentials.

    • Want to download content to access on the go? You will need the Skillsoft Percipio app, downloadable from the Google Play or Apple App Store. Once downloaded, input “jupiter” in the site name field and select ‘log in using corporate credentials.’ You will be redirected to Defence Gateway to finish logging in.
